Legend of Edda – Massive Multiplayer Game on Greek Mythology

Legend of Edda is a 3D fantasy anime-inspired massively multiplayer online role-playing game that has some seriously awesome graphics.

The game is based on the Greek mythological fight between the Titans and Olympus gods. The game was initially developed by Eyasoft and released by GamesCampus in 2010 and then the service was shut down after the beta launch. Gameplay

The game has two sides, Olympus and Titan. Olympus represents the good side and Titan is the evil side. In the starting, the player has to choose a side or group.

So, let’s say that a player chooses Olympus, then all of their characters must be a part of that faction. The two factions kick off their quests in Gaiyan town, but in different instances. The main noticeable difference is that the Olympus starts in the day time and the Titans in the night time.

During the initial stages of the game, both groups operate individually and do not meet in the first stages. There are a total of 4 character slots on each server and 3 classes in the game.

Each class has two specializations. The player will have fighters with warriors and swordsmen, Mages with clerics and wizards, Rogues with archers and assassins. The player can customize the gender, appearance, color, etc. of the character. You will see childish variants of the anime characters.

Leveling up in the game is quite straightforward. Kill the enemy, collect points. That’s the simple motto! To kill enemies, the players have to participate in quests.

Killing enemies is not hi-fi in this game as it requires clicking on the screen which will give damage the opponent and will lead to their death.  Some quests are openly available and for some, the players have to interact with the quest givers in different parts of the town. After completing the quests, the players are awarded XP gain which eventually leads to leveling up.

After each level up, the player receives a skill point and a stat increase. Both active and passive skills can be learned from the nonplayable characters in the town and can be used during fights and battles.

In the player vs environment mode, different players operate in groups with instanced dungeons. The dungeons have different difficulty levels. In more difficult dungeons, the players will face more powerful monsters and the reward will be better as well.

In player vs player mode, players can engage in duels, group battles, guild, and the Sacred Treasure battles. The sacred treasure battles are magnificent battles in which Olympus and Titan take part in special PvP instances. After winning these battles, players are rewarded with a lot of rewards including points that can be utilized for getting demi-god skills.

These skills are really special and super powerful that can be unlocked for each class. Apart from these, players can take advantage of a crafting system to upgrade their gears.

Then there’s a cash shop by the name of Item Mall. Players can access this from the in-game menu and can make purchases with the JC points. Players will find XP, mounts, pets, drop rate boosts, costumes, etc. Most of the items are sellable and tradable.

So, without using any real cash, you can still make trades and can purchase different items by selling the dropped ones. With the in-game cash shop, it is very easy for players to easily purchase and trade items. This is one of the many reasons that people like this game as they won’t have to invest much on the cash shop to purchase various stuff.
